Edie

Today, I write about an amazing woman that has inspired me, beyond belief, and has led me to find peace in the words and promises of the Lord & within.

Happy Birthday Dear Edie!
Edie, whom I have never met- and may never meet- has truly given me a gift, through her loss and her faith.

I stumbled across Edie's blog today, and was "taken" from the very beginning.
A devastating loss over Christmas- The story is hers to tell and she does it so well.
{You can fall in love with Edie, & read her BLOG, here.}

{Her touching video/photos here. }

This is where her story resonated with me and hit harder than I was ever ready for, especially while browsing the web on a lunch break.

I feel connected, I feel accompanied, I feel warmth, love & most of all faith.

The specifics & details of MY family's story are different- but the basics are very similar.
We too , as many I know, have suffered loss.  Each day is a continued struggle.
A struggle to believe, accept, rebuild, forgive & to not question God's plan.
Some days are harder than others, but I am forever thankful for what I DO have: family, friends & faith. And to God be the glory for these things.

These words are from Edie's blog intro...they spoke to me in such a way, I wanted to share:
"We are trusting God to restore the years---the years the locusts have eaten, the mess we’ve made with the gifts He’s given us, the disgraceful way we’ve trampled on His goodness time and time again. He makes all things new. For the sake of Christ, alone."

For that, and so much more, I say THANK YOU Edie.
I wish you a very Happy Birthday!  (although, I feel finding you today was a gift to me...)

I feel blessed to have come across your story today and I want you to know that You & your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
You have given me the remembrance, the extra hope and confidence that I needed to make it through, yet again. You have a new fan, new blog follower & a new "friend".

I am humbled.
